About Finance Committee
The Committee on Finance provides oversight for all financial matters of the church. Guided by ¶258.4 of The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church, this committee designs and administers a unified plan for funding the congregation’s ministry and mission. It prepares and recommends the annual budget, supervises the work of the treasurer and financial secretary, and ensures that clear procedures and internal controls safeguard all assets.
Working in partnership with the Church Council and other committees, the Finance Committee promotes faithful stewardship, encourages generous giving, and ensures that all financial activity reflects transparency, accountability, and alignment with the church’s mission. Its work helps the congregation manage God’s resources with integrity and supports the ministries of the church through sound financial leadership.
